Professional trainings and Lunch & Learns
Request a DBT or mental health training for your organization
As Minnesota’s DBT and trauma leaders, for more than two decades, our team has partnered with schools, healthcare systems, community organizations, clinics, and professional groups to provide practical, engaging trainings focused on DBT, trauma, emotional regulation, and mental health care.
Lunch & Learns
Lunch and learns are a great option for organizations looking for a more conversational, approachable introduction to DBT, MHS programming, or mental health-related topics. They can be held during staff meetings or professional development time, both in person at your organization or clinic or virtually.
Common topics include:
- DBT programming for adolescents and adults
- Understanding emotional dysregulation
- Supporting teens with safety concerns
- Early warning signs of mental illness
- DBT skills for schools and community settings
- Mental health support for families and caregivers
- Overview of MHS programs
Great for:
- Schools and school districts
- Therapy clinics
- Healthcare organizations
- Community mental health providers
- Case management teams
- Nonprofit organizations
- Parent and advocacy groups
Lunch & Learns are typically short, flexible, and designed to encourage discussion and collaboration over the course of an hour. We can customize presentation topics around the needs of your team, population, or organization (time limited to 45 minutes to 1.5 hours).
Specialized trainings and continuing education
MHS also offers more in-depth professional trainings grounded in both clinical knowledge and real-world application for organizations seeking advanced education, clinical skill development, or continuing education opportunities. Some may even qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
