Course Description:

Full integration of mental health and chemical health treatment has been somewhat elusive. Models that have used serial treatment (treating one then the other disorder) or parallel treatment (attend separate treatments in the same time frame) do not achieve full integration. In recent years, training programs and some limited treatment programs have been created from the ground up with full integration as the goal.

Agenda:

8AM- Sign-in and breakfast begin
8:30AM- Program starts
12PM- Lunch (on your own)
1PM- Program resumes
4PM- Program ends

Learning Objectives:

1.) Theory and research used to create a fully integrated dual disorder program.
2.) Specific elements of the program and how they are implemented.
3.) Clinical tools that are components of the full treatment program that you can use in your daily practice.
