Program Description:

This seminar will provide clinicians with an overview of motivational interviewing, from the origins and research supporting its efficacy, to in depth exploration of the spirit and fundamental processes. There will be opportunities for discussion and experiential learning throughout the day.

Karley Jorgensen, MA, LPCC


Karley Jorgensen, MA, LPCC, is a corrections program director in operations for the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee. She has worked with both incarcerated male and female individuals.  Additionally, she worked in a residential treatment center for juvenile males prior to joining the DOC.  She has been a motivational interviewing trainer since 2012. She provides MI coaching and coding services through use of the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI) tool.
