Lisa has a master’s degree in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota. Lisa’s experience includes working as a psychiatric associate at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview hospital and working as a Chemical Dependency Counselor after obtaining her alcohol and drug counseling license (LADC) on a dual-diagnosis adolescent unit at UMMC-Fairview. She completed two internship opportunities, including an 880-hour internship at Fairview adolescent dual-IOP (Crystal) and a 440-hour internship at NUWAY. At MHS, Lisa facilitates an Early Adolescent DBT program, a state-certified Adherent DBT program, an Integrated Dual-Diagnosis DBT program, and individual therapy. Lisa brings a person-centered and humanistic approach to her DBT practice. Lisa enjoys noticing when clients start to believe in themselves and acknowledge that they are capable of making changes in their lives, the small and the big.
