Laura has a master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Laura’s experience includes working as a mental health practitioner in a residential setting for eating disorders and as an advocate/crisis counselor for individuals impacted by domestic violence. At MHS, Laura facilitates an Adolescent DBT program, state-certified Adherent DBT program, intake assessments, and individual therapy. Laura brings a humanistic and person-centered focus to her DBT practice. Laura’s favorite things about working in mental health is individuals noticing and giving themselves credit for small and big changes they are making in their lives.
