Derek Otte, MSW, LGSW

Derek is a licensed graduate social worker and holds a Masters of Clinical Social Work from St. Thomas University and St. Catherine’s University.  Derek has over three years of experience as a volunteer crisis counselor and has also worked with teenagers in a high school setting.  Derek joined MHS in 2018 and facilitates Adolescent DBT and Horizons DBT programs.  He also provides individual therapy for teens and adults.  Derek’s practice is informed by the principles and skills taught through DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing.  Derek enjoys working with people to discover their innate and unique strengths, build resilience to distress, and live more purposeful and healthy lives.
